Too many passwords, subscriptions, and files? Here is how to clean up your digital life fast.
We accumulate digital junk the same way we accumulate physical junk. A file here, a subscription there, a new account for a website we visited once. Over time, it becomes overwhelming.
You don't need a weekend to fix this. You need 30 minutes and a simple plan. Here is the 30-minute digital declutter challenge.
Don't try to change all 80 of your passwords. Just fix the 5 that actually matter:
Enable 2FA on those 5 accounts. Leave the other 75 for another day.
Open your bank statement. Look for any recurring charges. If you haven't used the service in the last 30 days, cancel it. Don't think about it. Just cancel. You can always sign up again later if you miss it.
Drag every file on your desktop into one folder called "Inbox". Then, create three folders: "Work", "Personal", "Archive". Move the files from the Inbox into their respective folders. If you don't know where a file goes, delete it. If you need it later, you can redownload it.
Want the exact checklist? I built the Password Hygiene Playbook. It gives you the exact order to fix your passwords, a 2FA setup walkthrough, and a template for your recovery codes.
